In order to accomplish the initiative of the national Aging and Disability Resource Center, Connect to Care proposes a consortium of organizations, agencies, and faith based organizations working together with a common goal to ensure a system that provides consumers, caregivers, and professionals with timely and accurate information about long-term services and supports regardless of which agency is contacted. Connect to Care has established the Coalition on Aging and Disability Services (CADS) of Dallas. The founding members of CADS of Dallas have identified the need for local and state agencies to come together to establish and plan for long-term support for our aging and disabilities population. The CADS of Dallas have identified the following as their mission: To create, develop, and expand a highly effective and easily accessible system of community services composed of partners that are committed to providing long-term planning for the aging and disabilities population of Dallas County. The CADS of Dallas share the vision that by 2011, Dallas County shall have an easily accessible and highly effective system of community services demonstrated by providing accurate and timely information, quality customer services, an array of choices, and unprecedented level of partnership among local community organizations.
